Akal Takhat and Deathlessness

In this video Shanti Kaur shares some inspiring words. She talks about the Akal Takhat and how it was attacked by the Indian Army June 6th, 1984 and thousands of Sikhs were brutally killed. She explains why many of us celebrate this day as the Martyrdom of the Akat Takhat and gives an explanation about why. She talks about Guru Gobind Singh and the concept of death and fearlessness. For me this was very inspirational and gave me a very different perspective on fear and death. Have a watch below:

Thank you for sharing this!  It kind of reinforces what Siri Singh Sahib said on Martydom of Akal Takhat in 1984! What bothers me is that some ignorant and misguided Sikhs out there are teaching the next generation that revenge is part of Sikh tradition by making statements like, Guru Hargobind Ji took revenge for his father and Guru Gobind Singh Ji took revenge for Guru Tegh Bahadur and Banda Bahadur took revenge for Guru Goibind Singh and the sahibzaday.  That is why Indira Gandhi was killed by her Sikh bodyguards since it is a tradition.  I hope they are stopped from such stupid propaganda and listen to Shanti Kaur Ji in thisvideo about revenge, forgiveness, nirbhau and nirvair.

One Universal Creator God. The Name Is Truth. Creative Being Personified. No Fear. No Hatred. Image Of The Undying, Beyond Birth, Self-Existent. By Guru’s Grace
We call all the people that died in 84 marytrs..and give them huge praise and talk about fearlessness and righteousness, but what about the sikhs that survived this genocide?..No one cares about those sikhs that survived.. they live in the poorest of conditions in Delhi. They lost there sons daughters and husbands, and now work 2 jobs just to feed them selfs. The sikh community is soo ignorant that we just refuse to even acknowledge that they exsist!..This is shameful and that the only people on this planet that are worthy of calling themselfs sikh are those ones who lost there loved ones in that name.
