Union of Friends

I recently received a wedding invitation from two of my close friends, Siri Amrit Singh and Nirinjan Kaur, who are getting married this June (Right after the Summer Solstice camp here in Espanola, New Mexico). They are such a beautiful couple :) Siri Amrit Singh lived with me and my wife Arjan Kaur for a few years and also worked as part of the SikhNet.com team, so I got to know him well. Siri Amrit is one of my son Narayan’s many uncles. He always looks forward to when Uncle "Aama" comes for a visit.

Siri Amrit Singh is getting married to Nirinjan Kaur who is the daughter of Hari Singh and Guru Raj Kaur (from Vancouver, BC) who are also long time friends. I love both families and am excited that they are getting married.

Nirinjan Kaur is one of those friends with amazing voice and devotion that really flows when she sings. I can’t wait till she comes out with a Gurbani CD! I always bug her about it, especially since her father has his own recording studio and does this type of thing for a living. On their wedding invitation website they posted two audio clips. The first one is really nice! Sounds like a draft for an Upcoming Sadhana Music CD? Have a listen to it below…

You can also hear another audio clip that I posted last summer of her and Deep/Dalip Kaur who are friends and used to be classmates at Miri Piri Academy.

Here are a few more pictures:

I know Guru Raj kaur from vancouver, not personally but through programs at sikh temples etc. She has really beautiful voice, but more than that she is a real diamond of khalsa panth and for rest of humanity. I hope that she could come up with gurbani cds as well.

  2. Guru Raj Kaur does have a bunch of CDs, but I’m not sure if they are commercially available anywhere. I think you can hear her kirtan in the SikhNet Gurbani Archive (and it also plays on SikhNet Radio).

yes, i have listened her kirtan over the siknet radio. She has a mystical energy in her kirtan, which is an indicative of her spirtuality heights. I always have admired and respected her as a daughter of Guru Gobind singh.

congratulations to her and rest of the family on their daughters wedding. She also has a beautiful vocie. True living angels.

Siri Amrit Singh and Nirinjan Kaur both took part in Khalsa Jor Mela (Gatka Competition) in Surrey, BC just this last November. They both play very well. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting them both (and know Mandeep Singh, sitting in the photo of Bhainji taking Hukamnama, quite well) and can say that they are all blessed human beings. Hearing Nirinjan Kaur and Deep Kaur sing together is simply bliss.

    Dear Gurumustuk Singh,

In the last picture (Panj Piarey) we get a glimpse of the mural on the wall of Ramdaspuri – who painted it ? Do you have a clearer picture of it ? if you do please post it – it’s a beautiful mural – I look forward to the day I get to visit Ramdaspuri and the wonderful landscapes of New Mexico – until then I’ll enjoy the pictures posted by you and Prabhu Singh.

A heart-felt congratulations to the beautiful couple. They really look so happy together :)

    Sat Sri Akaal,

i totally agree with Ranjit Singh Ji, the murals are magnificent, the work can be seen on the walls of most of the historical Gurudwaras. The two most known ustaads of Naquaash(fresco) Gian Singh Naqquaash and Mehtaab Singh Naqquaash have dedicated their lives to emblish Harminder Sahib. I too, would like to have a close glimpse of Ramdsapuri in the background, and to know who has done the beautiful art work ?
