that happened to me too … a few weeks ago… i was installing internet explorer 7 and apparently my version of windows didn’t have service pack 2 so i tried to set up service pack 2 and my computer crashed and now it does not go beyond the windows start up screen.
i have to get it fixed soon because it has many important files.. thankfully we have another computer we could use in the meanwhile.
funny how technology should make our life simpler and less stressful but sometimes does the opposite!

Ardas to Waheguru for speedy recovery of the data.

Well… hours later and up till 2AM… I was able to fix the corrupted files that caused the crash, thanks to the wonderful “Ultimate Boot CD“. This nifty disk let’s you boot into windows directly from a CD, and is packed with all kinds of utilities. My computer has been acting a bit odd these days so I am backing up my data and going to do a clean re-install. There goes the rest of the day…..
Oh no Guru i hope everything well go good for you well tell the family hello from all the Cali cousins i hope to see you some time we love you Jenny
Khalsa Jee,

Thats what you get for using windows ;)
You don’t need ardas for a speedy recovery of your data, you need a Mac.
Sat Nam, this has happened to me too, three times withing the last month.. I always ended up losing important files, so now I have back up files on CD. Is it Windows XP causing this , or the computer user I wonder.
