God’s Paintbrush

This was another one of those amazing sunsets where the contrast between the rain clouds and the sun setting made for a dramatic scene. The colors and texture is beautiful. Shortly after this picture we got hit with really heavy rains all of a sudden. It was probably a flash flood somewhere. The front yard of the house was like a pond and rivers running through the streets. An amazing lightning show too. I tried to get some pictures…but no luck there.

  2. One word comes to mind – “VaaheGuroo!!”

“bhai vich ind firai sir bhaar”
    – In the Awe of God, the clouds move across the sky.

I’m not sure if you took this photo yesterday, but yesterday’s sunset was amazing. I didn’t have time to get out and take a picture because I had some things I had to do. I saw clouds in the distance (in the east) which had rain pouring out of them, and the rain was a bright red and pink, with a rainbow right through the middle of the pink. In another direction (north) there was rain in the distance that was a bright orange. It was a mist of orange, not a wave of pink like the east. It was so amazing and I just couldn’t stop praising God for this beautiful life. WaheGuru!

Paintbrush can’t draw such a clear picture.. it seems Adobe’s product..:)

  5. Bikramjit, this is in fact a real picture and un-altered from a sunset yesterday evening.

Since you said “God’s Paintbrush” so i was referring to Micorsoft Paintbrush, thats why I said God must have used Adobe’s product.

    Enjoy

U know somebody once told me that whenever the sky is red like similar to this pic.
It means somebody glorious or Holy has passed away…

But then again some people may disagree and give a scientific explanation.

  9. I can atest to the fact that this is a real photograph, undoctored from yesterday’s sunset. I too witnessed the same sunset and lamented not bringing my camera along for the walk.

    A. Kaur Sandhu Ji,
If what you say is true there are a lot of saints passing away in New Mexico because bright red sunsets are very common here. Search my blog if you want to see several of them :-)

I was searching for the color descriptor while looking out at these colors and emailing a family member last evening. I settled on “hot pink and blue/gray clouds.” Not sure how often one could speak about “hot pink clouds!” And, what a perfect hukum matched it yesterday with “gagan mai thaal rav chand deepak banay taarikaa mandal janak motee” with Sukha Singh’s translation, from Aartee / Kirtan Sohila. The Creator’s paint box in indeed unmatched…Wahe Guru..
