The Little Soul & The Sun

This is a story that has a similar theme to my previous blog post. It’s a great story for kids (and all of us). I have this book and read it to Narayan at bed time from time to time. We like to get different types of books to read Narayan at night before going to sleep. It’s great to spend the time and read stories with your children (especially if they are interesting and teach them something). I think it is really important. Spongebob Squarepants, Spiderman, Disney stories, etc. just don’t cut it for me. There are many good books available that have a non religious spiritual message about God being in everything and everywhere. I always look out for those. The teachings of the Sikh Gurus are universal and many people have stories with themes that are common with these teachings.

Anyway…you can read the text from the story titled:

The Little Soul & The Sun
by Neale Donald Walsch

Someone posted the text online, but If you like the story I recommend that you get the book which has beautiful art.

  1. I love this book!
My husband, Siri Karm Singh keeps at least 3 or more copies in his office and has given away dozens, to children who sometimes visit The Boston Language Institute.
I recently found a sequel to it, which I unfortunatly cannot reccomend. Besides knocking asparagus, it lacks the warmth of the first book. It is not without merit, but it is like so many sequls, pale by comparison.
