Guruka ji,
First I would like to thank you for starting Sikhnet and congratulate you for being a mentor to a fine young sikh – Gurumastak Singh.
I have a comment and a request. I have 2 kids (boy & girl) who are very close in age. I have tried to raise them with sikh values and when the time come for a Dastar Bandi (Turban Tying) ceremony, which is in a few years, I would like to do it for both. My son sees examples of men wearing turbans but there is none for my daughter. Neither does my wife want that our daughter wear a turban (typical Indian :( mentality). Every chance I get, I try to show her pictures of American Kaurs in turbans so that she realizes that women wear turbans too. It would help me and others in my situation if you could put a clip of a woman tying the turban. I could use that video to put a turban for my daughter.
Okay, we will be posting a video for women’s Dastar tying soon. Thanks for the suggestion!
