This spot is in Guruka Lahore. As Guru Gobind Singh could never enter into Punjab in his lifetime….his marriage took place at this spot.It was customery for the Guru to have marriage in Lahore…so the Sikhs created a spot just near to Anandpur Sahib for Guru Gobind Singh’s wedding that had all the qualities of Lahore.

this is really a great picture.seeing that big tree behind SINGHNIS there reminds me of those days when we were used to be in Nangal TownShip(Punjab,India) there we were used to go to Takhat Shri Kesgarh Sahib in our summer holidays possibly every Sunday and then in the hot summer afternoon we’re used to sit under that big tree to relax for sometime before going back home.Gurumustak Jee i’m also talking about 1980’s.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji was in punjab – Anandpur sahib?!!
mata ji, sorry. i know it’s like my 6th comment here but WOW!!! i never knew that!!! i had never even heard of the term “guruka lahore”!
Anonymous at 10:06 AM, July 19, 2005: I think what Mataji is talking about is Lahore in Punjab. As Maharaj could not go to Lahore, Punjab, the Sikhs created a “new Lahore” near Anandpur Sahib and called it Guruka Lahore. Bhul chuk maff.
