This is a VERY historical moment. This is the first time any white Western Sikhs played inside the Golden Temple. It is Vikram Singh and Ajeet Singh and Sat Purkha Singh on Tabla….1979 in Amrit Vela. Notice us ladies sitting alongside….now this has been restricted to only men. Oh well! sigh

   It’s unfortunate that our religion has become slave of politics and business. The spirituality is almost missing now. Hope it change somehow, otherwise extinction is our destiny(unfortunately)….

   there’s a shabad (and i’m the last person to recite a shabad) but i listen to it every morning. i think it’s sung by bhai darshan singh. and in it he is saying we(sikhs)’re all in a boat, we’re trying to get across but we don’t know where we’re headed anymore, not even the boat operators. now it’s up to you(waheguru) you’re going to have to carry our boat/berra across.

   i’m sorry if i totally messed it up.

   but in anycase it seems like the boat operators are our so called leaders and they’re absolutely useless at this point. and to save this precious boat/religion it’s up to us as individuals to do the best we can (be good sikhs ourselves and teach the young’ens to be as well and leave the rest up to waheguru).

   mataji, i don’t follow the religion politics and i had no idea that they, the leaders had done this. how can they defend this decision? can anyone play devil’s advocate here?
   unbelievable!

   i so usually view the comment section on my every visit… i believe we ought to have a forum.. i think gurmustak singh, again you got to take the lead here and pass the baton. i think you have to start something to channelize the think tank here to more constructive means . the things they do is leading the bourgeious astray and it is showing. oh what hell we let loose and now we are feeling the hell . no connoisseur indeed . but

   Well said! The GURU will never stop guiding us, and organizations will never lead us. The current setup has created cruel and useless politians, just check resume’ of S.G.P.C. president. We need pure religious people who have nothing to do with politics. They have only given us grief like, operation Bluestar.

   So sing the Kirtan of the Lord’s Praises, day and night. This is the most fruitful occupation. ||3||

    This issue only highlights the fact we need a new political organisation that represents all sikhs worldwide and can take on the likes of S.G.P.C who have mishandled our institutions, hertitage and chapters of our history in the most disgraceful of ways.
