Golden Temple at Sunrise

Over the past 11 years I have made various screen savers available online, which featured beautiful photographs and Sikh Art. I recently made an updated and higher quality screen saver which displays most of the art and photographs that are on SikhPhotos.com.

Download and install the screen saver on your computer, then enjoy watching the picture fade in and out as you hear a soft "waheguru" simran playing in the background. If you see any pictures that you like, you can order copies of it along with other related Sikh Gifts at SikhPhotos.com. I hope you all enjoy it! Let me know what you think…

The screen saver is currently only available for windows computers and is about 58MB in size (Because there are LOTS of pictures).

An old picture of my brother Dharam and my father Siri Vishnu in Brooklyn, New York as we bless the food before eating. As you can see my brother is quite small in this picture. He is now over 6 foot 4 inches!

This picture was from 1992-3, and I’m sure the polution hasn’t gotten any better. Ugh! I always get sick with something in my lungs when I got to Amritsar. Now a visit to Harimandir Sahib is always overshadowed by the gross pollution that doesn’t cease. This is one major reason I don’t go to Amritsar as often anymore. I wish the Government would take major steps to deal with this.

When I was in Amritsar in 1993 we used to sometimes go to Dharamsala. This was a cool picture from that time while hiking in the mountains. This is a picture of some Tibetan youth with the clouds creeping behind them.

Dark room in a suit case

I didn’t take photography or learn dark room methods in a class room so had to rely on books to teach myself. One year when I was in boarding school in India 1990? I brought lots of stuff to setup my own dark room (enlarger, chemicals, trays, paper, filters, etc). This is my suitcase with all the stuff packed up. That was a fun year… (even if my developing technique wasn’t that great, could never quite get the right contrast because I developed the b/w film badly).
