I was surprized to see the women as Panj Piaray. The women was never a part of Panj Sings from the day one. It seems like there is somthing wrong with this picture although I have great respects for women.

There were no Punjabis in the first punj pyaray either, but the soul does not belong to a region, race, religion, gender, or status. The Khalsa Darbar recognizes all Khalsa as equal. Raj Karega Khalsa!

    Guru Fateh JI

    Gurbax Singh ji..

1stly the guru created the Panj Pyare and not the Panj Singh.

and 2ndly when you read the sri guru granth sahib ji you will notice that god is refered to male while all of us are female so there is not much of a debate here as to can a man be part of the panj or a women..

as long as they are amritdhari, they maintain their rehat, they are fully qualified to be part of the panj pyare

some argue that when guru sahib called for a head only men turned up no women did so women should not be allowed..

if that is an arguement to be used then why should men be allowed..only those 5 should be panj pyare no one else cause apparently a lot of people fled the scene when guru sahib called for a head i am sure that included men..and not all men came forward..

    guru ang sang!

though i am a serious follower of sikhi , most of the fundaments of sikhi are clear to me(i hope so), but there are certain things that bother me and i feel very unassure of them . can i ask them through this service.
