    she’s not even wearing a chunni and honestly i think that takes guts, esp. in this day’s society where people say so much crap about women and turbans, and how we dont look good wearing them. I think it looks majorly graceful though, waheguru !

    The though that keeps on coming through me mind is that…..

    Here in UK u see the bride always wearing red and everyone else wearing all sorts of coloured suits. But when looking at these photos it isn’t like that. It totally different.

    I now there should normally be no such thing as assuming colours for certain occasions. But here in the UK people where white in a funeral.

    I’M JUST CONFUSED COULD SOMEBODY HELP ME ?

    This is not really the time or place, but I was visiting some “american sikh” friends back in the late 1970’s, and the question of wearing white was brought up by the mother of a small child. There was much discussion, but the explaination that best explains it goes like this. When someone wears white, they tend to be more careful of their actions, i.e. when we eat, drink and work we are more conscious of our actions, because soiling a white garment means everyone can see you were sloppy or careless in your actions or thought. This makes the individual more aware of their environment and actions. There are many other reasons why someone chooses to wear white, but self awareness is the simplest of all.

    I clicked on this picture and then I realized you can see me in the background trying to take a photo. I’m at the entry way, that’s the closest I could get during the anand Karaj (my photos are all from behind). After, for the rest of the Gurdwara, I got to sit near the Guru. I love sitting near the Guru in the Sunday Gurdwara in Espaola. There’s nothing like it in the whole world!

    prabu singh last two lines really touched my heart. may god bless him and all the people. my prabhu veer is really extraordinary and inspire me so much.
